U.S.A. Texas

I am considering relocating to this area next year from NEPA. I am a new grad I will be starting on a tele unit next month 3-11 at $25/hr. My husband is a CDL driver classs A. We have 4 kids 15,13,7, & 6. What can you tell me about the area? Does anyone work at the Paris regional medical center? I found the website and saw quite a few jobs listed but no info on benefits and stuff like that. Any insights will be appreciated!

Thanks for the ideas of the other towns. I checked out Lancaster and it sounded good. I have to research teh other ones when I get a chance. Thanks again.:wink2:

Thoroughly check out Lancaster. Their school district has been in the news a lot lately. Plus their only hospital shut down a few months ago. I think there is a thread here about the Lancaster hospital closing.

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

I would avoid Lancaster for the reasons mentioned by the previous poster. There's a town near Lancaster called Cedar Hill, which is growing, attracting development, has easy freeway access, nice neighborhoods, and is just a stone's throw away from Dallas.
Specializes in CDI Supervisor; Formerly NICU.

When I mentioned Lancaster, it was solely as the location of the Frozen Food Express company. Not a recommendation to live there.

You don't have to live in a city to work for one of their employers.
