by augusta83 Oct 12, '12My family might be moving to the Tyler area. I am an emergency room nurse with two years of experience. I have a great job here in Austin and get paid very well. I believe Seton here treats their nurses very well. All I know about tyler is that ETMC is a level 1 trauma center, and TMF is a level two trauma center. Does anyone have an opinion about either hospital? Does one treat nurses better than the other? Does one offer more flexibility than the other? Does one pay better than the other? Just wanting to get some feedback.
Thank You,
Augusta

- Oct 28, '12 by SandraCVRNJust come to Longview, GSMC is better then both those places. :-)
But really I will check with some people that have worked over there.
WOW, got that info quick..
She said both places are good to work for, apply to both and go with whoever gives you the best $$, hours and benefits. GSMC also has an ER in Kilgore.Last edit by SandraCVRN on Oct 28, '12 : Reason: more info - Nov 8, '12 by augusta83Thank you for your response! I think I will apply to both. You didn't happen to know if one hospital saw more kids, or if one saw more truamas, or anything like that? I have been working resource in the er here so have become spoiled with pay and schedule, but hopefully all will work out well. Wish me luck

Pay is probably not as good as in Austin. I know ETMC has a night shift diff of 15%. No weekend or holiday diff.
