need help for applying at brookhaven

hi ya all,

can anyone explain how is the selection process at brookhaven, I visited the web site but they are totally different from el centro :banghead: I dont really understand how they select ppl:bugeyes:. they metion something about points and how many points you have but where do u get the points from:bugeyes: is it just like ur GPA or what!!!! and also they dont post the final day to apply for fall 09 does anybody know when is the deadline?

if someone can explain what is the process would be greatttttt:D

any replies would be greatly appricated

what can I expect in the HESI and what kind of questions are they general questions or more of common sence questions?

If you click "Ranking for Admission" on that page, it will take you down to the area on that page where you can click a link to download a document onto your computer that explains the points/ranking system--you get a certain # of points for your GPA in certain classes, for having completed other classes, for your score on the HESI, etc. Good luck!

Dont stress on the interview. They basically threw the interviews out since everyone was so qualified and went stricktly on the poitn system. Just focus on the prereqs, getting all the support courses done, and at least a 90 on the HESI and you shouldn't have a problem.

If this is true then I am thrilled! that's just simply too good to be true... I checked the nursing website and it said that march 31 email will be sent out to top 60 for interview. Does anybody know what the real deal is...?

That is what the website said for the last selection. I spoke to one of my instructors (who is on the selection committee) after the interviews. She is the one who said that the ywere so impressed with all of the interviews that they could not agree on who should get in and who shouldn't. They felt it was easier to just go with the points ands that is what they basicall did. THAT is the real deal.
