I received my acceptance letter yesterday. Yay!

I took pharm in Spring 2011. So need need to worry :)The packet should be on it's way.

Does anyone know of an inexpensive First Aid, AED and CPR class for the healthcare provider?

Any of you apply to ACC?

:tinkbll:

hello everyone,

sorry i haven't been online lately......congrats to all that got accepted (qt**, rachsmc29 & tinkerbell33) :yeah:....i told you it was on the way!

RedCross.org has all three (cpr, first aid, and ard) for 50 bucks! go to their website

Thank you so much for the redcross info :)

Cameron's CPR and First Aid....Cindy Cameron 281-487-5513....http://www.pasadenacpr.com I used her for all my certifications and she never held you for the whole time and it is done out of her house she normally takes 4-6 people per session. I dont remember the price exactly but it is about the same as the red cross..also be careful of the timing of your certification as mine expired 3 days before my graduation from the lee adn program so if that happens you have to redo your certification before graduation or they dont let you walk. the entrance hesi is nothing to worry about it is really basic. two parts of it are non scoring and are just evaluations of how you learn best and then I think there is a 25 ? overall knowledge based part and it is super easy so dont fret about it. do go ahead and start buying nclex books and the evolve hesi book they are most helpful....good luck to you all! :)

ACED ALL PORTIONS OF THE HESI!! It was super easy: 15 learning style questions, 30 A&P basic questions, 50 reading questions where you read a paragraph and answer a few questions about it, and 30 vocab questions.:lol2::lol2::nurse:

She charges 75 for cpr and first aid certification. She was super nice and helpful. She also makes you feel that you are part of her family.

:tinkbll:Hello Everyone,

Time seems to be rolling along very quickly.....have anyone been to the school to be fitted for your uniform and take your badge picture...I'm thinking about going next week to try to get something out of the way. I will be visiting somebodies bookstore real soon to start my collection of nclex books. I'm just super excited...as each day go by heart :heartbeat beats faster and faster.

I was there Monday to get fitted for my uniforms. I ordered two tops and will purchase the pants at another location. They didn’t have the photography equipment available and told me to come back next week. I was all dolled up and ready for my picture :(

I went yesterday and got my id, name tag ordered, my patches, and the organizer--the lady said you could get your scrubs and lab coat from anywhere they just had to be all white. Ooooo by the way--just an FYI I have a friend in the program all ready and she said that they make you wear white full bottom(brief) panties and a white bra --no tank tops or t-shirts under your uniform as well as white sock that come up to your calf.
