My husband graduated and is waiting to take the N-Clex. I have contacted hospitals down in Houston and I cannot get any information on the pay and benefits until we send in our resume which we cannot until he takes the N-Clex. Could someone please tell me how much a new grad can expect to make?

Anywhere from 45-50 depending on the facility and the role.

Can you PM me any facilities you are aware for this range sweetie? Also, is this for new graduates with a bsn or adn?

I know for sure St. Luke's is 27.50/hr (but they are on the high end), and Memorial Hermann TMC is $21/hr which is bumped up to $23/hr after orientation.
I've heard MD Anderson and Texas Children's both start at $24/hr.

Is St. Luke a hospital? I need to go where the experience is at..such as a teaching hospital.

These numbers look about right. I'm a GN in the med center so I know.

Is the pay about the same in the DFW area or less?

D/FW-area hospitals are slightly lower-paying than the ones in Houston. Hospitals in D/FW will pay a new grad between $22.50 and $25 hourly. The pay can be significantly higher if you are willing to do LTC, home health, hospice, corrections, or some other type of nursing outside the hospital setting.

That's not bad...about the same for the Denver area which is pretty sad since the cost of living is higher here.

Is this with or without benifits?

I am a new ADN RN and I just got a job just south of Houston. I am starting out about $24 an hour, but they saiud they are giving me 1 year RN experience because of all my years I worked in the lab.
