HCC Spring 2014 LVN Applicants

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Is anyone applying for the lvn program at houston community college this upcoming spring?!

And so the waiting game begins for October. I really hope I make it in for Spring 2014. I'm starting my CNA next week, so hopefully that helps me with getting into LVN.

And Stefonee, that's good for you.

How did yalls interview go?

Did you allhave the interview yet?

I haven't heard anything. I don't know how long it takes for them to send out the letters in the fall season, or maybe they already did and I didn't get in again. I don't know.

(BTW, I hate that the allnurses website got rid of the Texas Nursing Programs section, it makes this section harder to navigate now.)

I got in! and I didn't have to go through the interview process again. Anyone else? Apparently the fitting for uniforms in tomorrow. Such short notice, but it'll be okay.

I received my letter this afternoon also. Seems kind of short notice since, uniforms fittings are tommorow.

Anyone else? I'm so excited! I just need to get my fingerprinting, urine test, and physical and I'll be ready since I already have all my shots and CPR done already.

Congrats yall! How exciting!!! Hopefully I'll get in, in August! Im proof of y'all :-)

They sent me a letter (I originally put my application in for the spring but asked them to move it to fall 2014), but I had to remind them I wanted to be considered for the fall. I was excited when I got it but sad I have to wait

Thank you stefonee!

Today was the Student Services orientation, so exciting! We also got our book lists, it's a long list with 6 books! Plus 3 ATI books to help get ready for the NCLEX, I think, so that's 9 books in all! :nailbiting:

Next week is survival camp, where we'll register and learn about the classes we'll be taking, and getting our schedules, I think. I'm so excited to begin, yet so scared.

I was reading your posts. I am happy for you. Good luck....im sure you know its hard work. I started in Jan of this year (in GA) and today I took my exit exam and passed on the first try. I am so happy to know that I will graduate and be pinned on Thursday. It has been very hard work and there were days that I wanted to throw in the towel and thought the stress wasn't worth it. But now, I look back at this amazing journey and how I doubted I would ever be able to make it to this day....and here I am. I wish you the very best and no matter what you do, stay focused and never give up. I promise its worth it in the end.
