HCC Coleman Spring 15

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hello fellow nursing students! I applied to HCC Coleman in August for the Spring 2015 semester. I haven't received an acceptance letter yet. Does anyone know if they have made any decisions yet regarding acceptance or has anyone else received anything back from them?

Specializes in Inpatient Obstetrics.

Yea you get to choose. They give options for clinical. There can only be Max of 10 students each hospital. So if you have 75 students they'll at least need to post 8 clinical slots with different instructors and days/times; and each clinical spot tends to be different hospitals as well. Lecture you usually don't have an option. If you do, it can be different time slots but same teacher. Or different teachers at same time slot but you choose which teacher.

Would you happen to know if the fall 2016 lvn program requires pharmacology before entering the program as of now all they are requiring is Anatomy & physiology and Nutrion?

Reconsider HCC, seriously. I'd go to San Jac, WCJC, or Lone Star. I'm only saying this from experience. It's very unorganized and you basically teach yourself. The teachers aren't helpful and if you try to ask for help they say to read your book. Some teacher don't know what they are doing... I knew more than some of them. Im trying to hell you out before you make the same mistake I did.
