Hey future :nurse:! I thought I would start a thread to see who was applying for the El Centro/Northlake Spring 2011 program. I am finishing up a couple of prereqs and my HESI this Summer and will be applying in August. It is SO exciting to know that my dreams will be reality very soon! Does anyone know what the lowest points were for the Fall 2010 group? What back up plans do you all have? Best of luck to all of you!

Hey guys! Ill be at ECC for the Spring too! Waiting for that letter was the meanest thing they could've done to us, right? Hey wait, I had a girl named Meghan in my summer HPRS 1204 class... I guess Ill see if its you on December 20th!

I don't know what to do about classes yet, the schedules aren't even out right now. I imagine that THEY will tell us what section to register for... people in our class are the ONLY ones taking these classes in the whole school so they won't be full...now I don't know what you'd do if you had to take AP2 or something. Thank GOD I have NO MORE classes to take except those nursing classes. Im trying to relax right now before we all get stressed out in school!

From what I understand regarding registering for classes, is that it is all done for you. Now if you need to still take a support course, that is up to you to register, but as far as nursing specific courses, the nursing adviser makes your schedule. According to a friend of mine who graduates from the program this fall, be very flexible. Things change, classes change, rooms change, class times change. I am not sure if we will find out our schedule on the day of orientation or not. I would like to find out clinical rotation if nothing else. Personally hoping for Parkland.

I am really hoping for Parkland too...I bet everything works out for the best!

Did y'all look in the spring catalog? I'm at NLC & it lists clinical sites. I'm sure they can change, but it was nice to get an idea of them. I was a little bummed, because I was hoping for Parkland too, but maybe in a later semester.

It also lists lecture class day/time, so that can kind of give you an idea.

I know we're supposed to order scrubs on the 20th as well, but how many do you plan to order?? I'm not sure if we wear them every class day, or just days you're doing skills lab, or what?? Also, do you know the rules for shoes? I want to put them on my Christmas list LOL! Can't wait to meet everybody on the 20th!!!!!!

We're all so excited about it... Kanora told me that we just have to wait till orientation to get the scoop. I asked her about scrubs, texts....she said wait till they explain everything to you on the 20th! Ms. Becker did tell me that we have to order scrubs from their company...they have to be a certain color of blue. They're actually pretty ugly... I guess they get to make fun of us and how terrible we will look!

Not too much longer and we're gonna be WAY MORE STRESSED than we are now! I can't wait!

But we still need to go early & be 'fitted' for scrubs right? Just wait to order after we hear orientation? I agree, the scrubs are hideous!! Oh well, I can deal because it means I'm one step closer to being an RN

Is anyone having problems signing in to finish the exercise modules for the lassi?? I put the school key code and password in and it did not work.
