El Centro/North Lake Previous Student Input & Fall '13 Prospectives!

U.S.A. Texas

I did a quick search but I couldn't find a thread for people preparing for Fall 2013 nursing. I've been reading that Spring 2013 students are aiming for about a 23 on the new points system. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will have at least that with a transcript evaluation.

Anyway, I would LOVE to hear stories about how others are liking/liked the El Centro/NLC program. I am hearing mixed reviews :(

I've been reading a lot about the Magnet Hospital hype and how an ADN will not suffice to get a job soon after licensing (I plan on getting a job and having the hospital do tuition reimbursement for my UTA pathway program to BSN).

Any tips, advice, or just a hello would be appreciated! :D

What department or what do you do? I also volunteer Thursdays.

Ambassador in the early afternoon- you? In January I'll do PALS but I guess they're just testing that out right now so we will see

Hi everyone, can anyone tell me what the methodist/el Centro partnership is all about? Also, I took HPRS in Spring 2010, does anyone kno when my last chance to apply is? I read HPRS has a 3 yr limit. I emailed them and still havent heard back. Thanks.

I am an employee.
