Hi my name is laura and i was wondering if anybody knows of a hospital in dallas tx that will help you pay for school? I really want to be in the LPN/LVN program. My dream is to be a nurse since i was in middle school but things never come out the way i plan. I would really apreciated it if someone would give me more info on how should i start off, what should i do, and things like that. I wanna start school before i get older so i can give my son a better future. Thanks for your time.

I don't know of any that do LPN/LVN. Medical Center of Plano has a nursing "scholarship" for ten applicants per year who are already accepted into a two year RN program or are in the last two years of a BSN program. They give you $1500 per semester in exchange for a two year agreement to work after graduation. It is quite competitive. Details on the MCOP website.

I think that Texas Health Resources, an owner of several hospitals in the DFW area, offers tuition reimbursement for current employees. Since you presumably live on the Dallas side of the metro area, I think you are closer to Dallas Presbyterian and Arlington Memorial.
