Hey everyone! I thought I would start a topic for the Feb 2015 internships at Children's Medical Center in Dallas. I'm sure we're all waiting to hear back so might as well do it together right? Hope we ALL hear back soon. I hear it's a great facility to work for. I'm assuming y'all picked your top 2 units on your application. Has it always been like that? Job hunting sure is intense. Feel free to comment about anything! Good luck! :)

I didn't even think to check the statuses anymore. I thought we would get an email either way. I guess I wasn't selected either as mine changed too.

I would wait until you get an email to get discouraged. A lot of applications I put in change to job status-"inactive" meaning that they are no longer accepting applications for the position. But some I got a call for an interview and some later it changed to "not under consideration".

You are right. However, I think they only have an active and inactive status. I was trying to read the comments in another post in which someone had an inactive status but they never followed up. Also, someone asked this on their FB page what it means and they never answered.

I applied as well and haven't heard anything but the "inactive" just means the application is closed. Hopefully we hear something soon!

I think we would just get an email after they have finished hiring for whatever unit. So there's still hope! Don't give up. They haven't done all units yet.

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this inactive status? Seems like two different opinions are floating around: either you're out or the job is just closed. My status is inactive, but it's just the Monday after the Friday the application was due. Can I be that awful of an applicant?

Also, I applied online for the Feb 2016 residency and didn't see anywhere to chose my top units. Am I missing something? Maybe that's why I'm inactive--I didn't complete the real application?

Any guidance is helpful. I'm an Okie in LA trying to make my way closer to home.
