Acceptance into the Blinn ADN program for spring 2013

I have applied to the Blinn ADN program that will start in Spring 2013. Finals ended this last week, and I am so curious to when I should expect a letter of acceptance :-). I say acceptance because I am hoping and praying that is what I get. Is there anyone who has been accepted in the past to the Blinn program and happens to remember the length of time it took to get the results after final grades were submitted? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I applied this past January and received my acceptance letter in June I believe. I just finished my first semester of nursing school this fall semester. I believe since we only have about a month between fall and spring semester you should be getting a letter, either acceptance or denial, really soon. My advise to you if you get accepted for spring 2013 is to get everything done ASAP, drug screen, vaccinations, and paperwork. You don't have as much time as I did so get it done quick. Let me know if you get in as I will be at your orientation lunch the Friday before spring semester starts. Good luck and I hope to see you next semester.

Just a word of advise if you get accepted do not purchase your scrubs yet. As of Fall 2012, my first semester, the director of the Nursing Program changed the Student Nurse uniforms to a specific brand.

I have a question :-) I just got accepted into the fall 2013 ADN program(yay!) how long does it take to get your blue card back from the BON after you get the background check done?

Advice! Don't purchase your uniforms yet. As of fall 2012 Blinn RN students can only wear a certain brand of uniform. Bryan has a local uniform store that sales them and I believe if you tell them you are in the ADN program at Blinn they will give you a discount. Last year right before school started they had a back to school sale with 30% off. The patch can only be purchased at Blinn College for like $4 each. Find you a pair of white schools that will be comfortable. I would highly suggest you purchase the pharmacology book and start readying. I took pharm my second semester but starting this fall ADN students will take it during the first semester. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Your welcome. I recently went by the uniform store in town and I asked about their "back to school sale" and thankfully they are having a sale from aug 9-11 33% off plus no tax. That is by far the best sale they have.
