I just received a letter with my transfer credits!!! They are accepting my micro and lab, psychology, lifespan, and a&p 1/2! So I won't have to take PSY 219 and BIO 201. Yay!!! Less money to spend
Combs- thanks for the link! I appreciate it! I'm glad I found this site! It's nice to talk with others about the program and share the excitement!

Subjects for Textbooks | The Union Book Project

I found what seems to be our class schedule for Fall. You just go on the Germantown bookstore page and click by subject, not by semester.

    Oh wow, check this out.

Not apart of our cohort's schedule, but to answer our earlier questions, it looks like they do Saturday classes!

Thanks for that! I see that most of the classes are at night.

Do we have to go by what the curriculum says on the site? Like take Scientific writing 1st term and patho 2nd term? Or do you think they will just let us choose our own schedule.
To be honest, I'd rather take my courses for the full term since I only have to take 5 courses! There's options to choose different terms, but I don't know if since we are accelerated students are permitted to choose. What do you all think?

I'm not sure, but that's what I was thinking. I was told yesterday that we register around April 18th. We register with the help of the program coordinator, so I bet you can ask then!

Im bacckkk! lol For those I havent spoken with previously in this thread, I was accepted into the ABSN program. I was wondering if anyone has talked to the program coordinator yet? GeorgiaPeachGal, do you know when we have to pay tuition and how much its running as of now? I know our program coordinator gave me the contact info for a lady who helps us with financial aid. She also confirmed that August 20th is the start date and that they are debating whether they want to have orientation on campus orrrr via other outlets such as YouTube. I have been kind of slacking and have a few things to turn in and get in order

Welcome back, alg1991! I did speak to the program coordinator. It's $495.00 per credit hour, and she said to put aside 5k to 7k for additional fees and expenses. We should receive a bill in the mail after registration.

Ok thanks girl! I'm assuming we are registering on campus if the director is helping. Or am I confused LOL! I still have not heard from my stafford loan so I hope the bill isn't due immediately after registering for classes! I thought we paid right before semesters and terms!? I'm getting nervous.

Well, it could be that you get the bill, but you have by a certain date to pay it, such as at the beginning of the semester. My current school bills my account when I register, but my scholarship (and Stafford) money isn't sent to the school until August. I wouldn't worry! I can forward you the lengthy message she sent to me.

For whatever reason, it won't let me send any more private messages. If you want me to reply to any thing private, message me an email address and I'll get back to you.

I spoke with the program coordinator today and she said that we have to have CPR training for healthcare professionals by the American Heart Association. I don't know for sure, but I think we are to take the "BLS for healthcare providers" course. She didn't specify on that. She did mention that when time gets closer they will tell us dates for the CPR classes, but we can go ahead and take the course.
We will register online around the end of April and they will tell us when to take classes (terms and times).
And she did mention that orientation would be around the last week in May or first week in June. They're still discussing the online thing. I hope it's online if they do it in May. I'll be teaching and writing on permanent records!!! Can't miss that But I would love to meet people in person if they do it on June. I prefer June and meeting folks, but we will see!!! Time is flying by quickly. We will be sitting in class sooner than we think

Thank you so much for the info, Tinker! I was hoping that somebody would get more information about orientation. I would be totally fine with orientation in person! I've never been on the campus, so I'd really like to be there before moving. I'm excited!

I agree! It would be nice to take a tour and get to know others! Do you know if we will have to travel to the Jackson Campus for stimulations? I'm pretty sure we do, but I have no idea where I heard this! LOL. I am super excited too!
