I am also a new BSN grad.I have been applying to every hospital within a 50 mile radius of Chattanooga for a few months and have had no results. I check the site daily and have even spoke to some of the recruiters. At one hospital they said "the one job you applied for 35 other people applied for it", and this other job you applied for 65 other people applied for it". I wondered if anyone knows of anything that I may be doing wrong. Along with my resume, and references I always include a cover letter. How many of you send cover letters? And do you send a cover letter for each job, or a generalized one?

It the same old thing..... there is no nursing shortage, especially in the TN valley area... been that way for years.. Pay is so poor and too many nurse's they can pick what or whom they want..sorry.
