From GA to TN...advice?

U.S.A. Tennessee

Published

Hello, I am looking at moving to Tennessee in the future but I am finishing up schooling (CNA and PCT) here in Georgia. I love the Sweetwater/Maryville area and am interested in continuing my schooling to an LPN. I know that Bount Memorial Hospital in Maryville offers an LPN diploma as well as the Tennessee Tech Center in Morristown. I am currently enrolled in a local community college's LPN program but do not see it happening anytime soon (due to late enrollment and prereqs.) My question is...

What is the most common selection process and number of selected applicants in TN? Where I am at currently, there are 20 students selected at the fall once a year. Common prerequisites include intro to microcomputers, anatomy & psysiology, english, college algebra, and psychology. Is this about the same in TN?

Also...please let me know if you have had any experiance with either of the places I have listed that offer the LPN program. I would also like to check out other schools but an hour drive at the moment (away from Sweetwater, TN) is max. Thanks so much!
