TEAS question? Bad on science, good on the rest?

I just finished the TEAS test. I do not know my score yet and will have to sit and wait. I'm hoping I did better than I thought, but I did not know a lot of the science questions at all and was randomly guessing. There were more that I didn't know than I was expecting - a lot of chemistry questions and a lot about DNA replication. I knew most of the A&P stuff, but chemistry has been over 10 years since I took the class. I tried to brush up, but didn't have enough time to really go through it. Now I'm upset. I am sure I did really well on the math, grammar, and reading. I had no problems with any of those sections at all. Can the other sections pull up my score enough to compensate or will a bad science score totally ruin things? I do not know if the school I'm applying to has a minimum score. I only know you have to take it and I don't know how much they factor this into deciding whether you get in. I'm just upset now as I really wanted to do well on this. I didn't have enough time to study for it as I would have liked as I'm taking a bunch of classes right now. I'm just really irritated. Anyone know how schools look at these scores?

If you created a Password and Login and took the TEAS test on a computer, you can log in on the website a see your score. What school are you applying at? Their program will tell you how they score the points.

I logged on hoping my test scores would be there and they are not there yet. The testing center said it would take 48 business hours so I am probably going to have to wait a while. I am applying to 's prelicensure BSN program. Their website is very vague about what is required with TEAS and I didn't think to ask. This is all it says on their website

To meet the WGU Student Score Requirement for admission consideration, you will be required to pass the exam at the "Proficient," "Advanced," or "Exemplary" Level based on the TEAS national cut scores.

I'm feeling a little better about things. I think I did really well on the other sections and I realized even if I missed all of the chemistry questions that still would leave me with at least a mediocre score on science if I did okay on the rest of the science questions. Anyhow, I guess I will just have to sit and sweat it out for the next couple days.

Dont worry too much. I felt like I blew the science because like you I rock at A&P but chemistry is not my strong suit and low and behold that is what most of the science section was. I ended up with a 79.4% which when compared with the national average of 62% is great. I scored very high on english (95%), Math (90%), grammar (somewhere in the 80s), but my science was a low 70%. However I have good grades, all As and Bs except stupid math which was a C and I start nursing school in Feb.

Dont stress it too much :)

I just got my score in. I got an 83.3. I'm a little bummed because I know if I had studied more I would have rocked this test, but I think it will be good enough to get in.

Reading 85.7

Math 96.7

Science 70.8

English 83.3

The actual Human Body Science I got a 90.9.
