I wanted to know if anyone has experienced this. So last year I did not pass my classes. I went from a 3.5 to a 2.25. I honestly can say it did not come from being lazy. My job had to do cut backs. I was one of the ones that was selected. My hours were cut to 3.5 everyday and that's only if they needed me. I was making no more than 200 a week. Yes, kind of hard to take care of a family with that. Not only that I found out I was expecting. So basically I went through a depressed stage. Well I was thinking of starting the next term which would be February 2018. I plan on taking my teas exam April and if I don't score high enough I do have time to take it before the deadline which is June 1st of this year. I called one of the nursing instructor to ask her some questions. I asked her what other classes I needed to take? She told me that I should go ahead and retake my classes I did not pass and that they ask for us to have all A&P and Micro classes done before we took another class. (Sorry, I typed everything out while I was talking to her and some how my daughter deleted it.) I then asked her once I get my gpa up, of course I know to strive high, but do they actually accept people with that gpa (2.75) and the minimum of the teas which is 60% (again I am going to strive high). She asked me why wouldn't they and I gave her the examples of friends that told me the school they attended gpa requirements to get in may have been 3.0 but the school only accepted one with 4.0 gpa. She told me the reason they do that is because they may have like 180 students apply with only 70 seats so yes they would have to do that. So basically what I was getting from that is it's a possibility I may get into the program if I can achieve 2.75gpa and the minimum of 60%. Again like I said I'm going to score higher on both. Does this sound promising or has anyone experienced this? Thanks in advance.
