I need to start studying!

Nursing Students TEAS

Published

I am getting ready to start studying for the TEAS but I have no idea where to even look for study material. Do public libraries have like a book? Is there a book?

Following :) I am in the same boat!

You can get the book from the testing website (atitesting.com) or Amazon.

There are a couple of publishers that make study guides (McGrawHill, Kaplan, etc). Just look for anything that says "TEAS V". I hear the official ati study guide is the most helpful. They also have online practice tests that are administered and timed just like the TEAS. It's a good way to practice pacing yourself and to see what you need to brush up on.

The ATI study guide is the most helpful because, well, they designed the test itself! I ordered mine from Amazon. The ATI website sells the online practice tests ( that's timed as well) but I did well using the practice tests included in the book.

Here is what I did to prepare:

- Read the entire study guide. Bookmark the topics that you think you might have a problem with so you can refer to it later on.

- Work out the example problems on each page before looking for the answer.

- Take the practice exams. I timed myself while doing it so I could stay within the timeframe.

- Borrow every single book about the TEAS V in your local library. Some of them are different but still helpful.

- Ask the librarian if they have a database of practice exams.

- On the questions that you missed, go back and study them some more.

Book at appointment for the test asap! Where I live, the spots fill up quickly so make a reservation soon.
