How is the TEAS V actually graded?

Nursing Students TEAS

Sorry everyone if this sounds kind of like a silly question, but this is my first time to post anything on this website even though I have been reading it off and on. I am so confused on how the TEAS V is actually graded. At the college that I am planning on applying at we are excepted through a point system and you get individual points for each section, but based on everything I have read it only gives you an overall grade. I was wondering how its actually graded. Is it one overall score, or does it score each section individually?

Ever test is subdivided and you are given a score for each section and then you get an overall adjusted score, which is probably the score you are talking about.

For example:

my AIS was 80.7%

I scored a:

83.3% on Math

83.3% on Reading Comprehension

75% on Science

80% on English and Language

Thank you for asking this because I was thinking the same thing yesterday! My school also goes on a points system and I was confused so this helps a lot! : )

Thanks.... I was so confused because on everything I was reading people were just giving their overall score and I knew it had to be graded seperately somehow, just wasnt sure if it told you or not. :) I am planning on taking it later this semester. Very helpful.

If you haven't already- get the ATI study manual. The practice tests don't really help much, but that manual is a God-sent gift! :w00t:

I already got and went through the manual... Im just really nervous (like I always am before a test) because I dont want to study and think that I know the material and then not get the grade that I need to get into the ADN program that Im applying to in Jan. I guess I just need to put my big girl pants on and go ahead and take the test. :D

Yup!! You will do great. I would just recommend with math, reading, and ELA is to practice practice practice! You should practice long division and multiplication by hand, learn the different types of questions that will be in reading, and learn how to use proper grammar and punctuation. Science is more knowledge based! So do a lot of life science, chemistry, and biology.

Good luck! Keep us updated how you do!

I purchased the ATI online practice tests..really, really helped! The format of the online practice tests are the same as they were with the real thing. One less thing to have anxiety about. Good luck!
