Failed the TEAS V and have some questions.

Nursing Students TEAS

Published

I recently took the TEAS V few days ago and sadly failed it. The cut score for the schools I was applying to were 62% and I got a 59.3%. I thought I did well only to find out I did horrible. My strongest section was math, which I got a 83.3% on and the rest I scored a 50% more or less. I bought the ATI study manual including the two practice tests. I was not able to sleep at all before the test because I was so nervous, so I stayed up trying to study, which didn't help at all...

So, I have a few questions. Have any of you that failed the TEAS V needed to be remediated before your second attempt on taking the TEAS V? If so how does that work? What do you need to do? How long is remediation? All of the programs I was going to apply to stated that if we failed to meet the cut score of 62% we were going to be given a remediation plan. I'm really worried that I won't be able to become a nurse let alone get into any nursing program and any advice or information will be greatly appreciated.

I too also failed the teas test on September 27, words cannot describe how terrible I feel. I thought I was prepared . I studied from the book and also version A and B online practice test for 2 months in advance. My score was 50.7% . Scheduled for remediation and

I don't know what to think. I'm a so called, "older student" that still want to complete by journey (it has been a very longgggggg journey, unfortunately) of becoming a NP/ CNM (certified nurse midwive). So, I to would appreciated some advice because my anxiety is out of control.

I feel the same way as you guys, except I did even worse. I scored a 43.3 percent. I am extremely embarrassed to even post this score on here. I thought I studied enough, I used the McGraw-Hill book to study. And I hired a tutor for the math section as well. I felt the science part of it was a huge guessing game for me since I never took earth science or Chemistry. Any advice would be great.

I got a 64%. Not the score I wish I got but at least I passed so I'm praying I can get inside an ADN program. If you study each subject in the ATI Manuel AND FEEL COMFORTABLE with each subject then I'm sure you will do better the 2nd time. If there's a subject you don't feel comfortable with or understood very well in the ATI Manuel then you should go and learn it. There's videos in khan academy that can help you with the math and science part.
