hey all.. check this thread out.. click on the opening link, and proceed to read thru the posts and get fumed.. thought you could use a little laugh this a.m. - just goes to show you how threatened they feel !!

Those folks on SDN are clueless. They are a smal minority (less than 1/8 of 1/8 of1%) of the med students and residents in this county.

After a year or two in residency, some attending usually slaps them in the back of the head and they get the real story.

CRNA's and SRNA's are in no danger. Shoot I'm just a CST and CRNA wannabe and I know from watching them in action that CRNA's and the AANA have their act toghether.

i agree.. and have no worries.. just thought it was rather funny and wanted to see other's reactions/thoughts.. anyway, good luck with the future !

oh, and that 1/8 of 1/8 of 1%... that's funny.

Yep,

SDN folks crack me up when they start flexing their pre-med, med studnet and intern muscles.

AANA is more than a match for them.

If anyone takes the time to look at the thread on SDN they will realize that the majority of their posters are more worried about length of certain body parts and other mindless drivel. This just goes to show the level of maturity that one can find on a website for nursing professionals vs. Students. I know that residents and fellows can post but look at the name Student Doctor.Net. If I recall even the pre-CRNA sub-section is dominated by those already with a nursing degree and practicing a profession.

Don't let these competing forums wreak havoc amongst our profession. As for the actual question at hand, EBP is becoming an increasing part of all nursing practice, not just CRNA. Also, I know I have a research book for this fall as I creep closer to starting NA school.

While the student doctors are agitating, myself and tens of thousands other CRNAs are in the operating room administering safe and cost effective anesthesia. The future is strong for our profession and don't let the jealousy and arrogance of others influence your future. Their rants tell me a lot about them, and it isn't flattering.

yoga crna

yoga is absolutely right. I remember many years ago in sophomore world history, our teacher made us look up the word "sophomore" and proceeded to tell us that is what we were. Look closely, and you will notice much sophomoric behavior on sdn.

I always thought you had to be a mature and intelligent adult to make it into med school. That's what I get for thinking!!! these idiots bring shame to the whole lot of them. :clown:
