SRNA and Future CRNA employment

  1. 0
When an SRNA is beginning to look for prospective employers after graduation, how do you find all the employers hiring. I know about gaswork and gasjobs and the jobs I receive from the AANA in their magazines and a few from companies, but there must be many times that hiring CRNA how does one go about marketing out to prospective employers?

    Thanks

One great way to see prospective employers is through the national meeting (this year in Cleveland). There are a lot of hospital recruiters that go to the meeting wanting to meet as many students as possible for future employmen. I believe there were about 15-20 hospitals there at the past meeting in D.C.

Another way is to talk to the more senior students that are close to graduating. They can give you an idea of certain areas of the country they've applied to and whether or not it'll be worth your time when you're close to graduating.

If you have an idea of where you want to live, start with that and start making phone calls.

There are tons of jobs out there. Most groups/hospitals dont' advertise that much. Do the legwork.
