Anyone on here know about how many students UT Houston takes each year? Ballpark figure? I can't seem to find the info anywhere easily accessible. Thanks.

Specializes in NICU, CVICU.

The class that just started is about 25. Previous years has been between 6 and 12. I've heard that the class starting '09 should be about 25 also.

Thanks. Get the impression from reading on here and the fact that I haven't heard back from either of two emails that they aren't big with keeping their applicants up to date with their process. And of course I'm sure they're still recovering from Ike. FYI to those applying this year their deadline's been moved back to 10/15. Guess I'll have to cross my fingers and try to be patient.

they are taking 25- I too have had difficulty with my application process.

Ok! so I'm not the only one.

I have been tracking my application on-line, and I have two reference letters that still aren't listed --same two reference letters that another school in Houston also says they don't have yet. My references assured me they have been sent. UT Houston just keeps telling me "we're still entering data". I guess maybe mail is slow/backed up from Ike? I can't get them to go physically look for the letters (I know, unreasonable, they are very busy)

I'm just nervous because it's the same two letters that both schools don't have a record of. And I'm freaking out just a little bit.:uhoh21:

I don't know how long to wait to request second letters from my references. I know the addresses are correct that I put on the envelopes because one letter from my third ref. got to both schools already, though that one was sent much earlier than the other two now that I think about it. Oh the AGONY of the application process!!!

good luck every one! And nice to hear UT Houston takes so many students!

Dose anyone know when UT Houston grants interviews? I have the hardest time finding things on their website. I'm trying to get an idea of when I should start to REALLY panic that I haven't gotten a letter in the mail :)

I think I should change my user name to NervousInTexas is that one taken?

I've applied to UT and Baylor. I called UT, and they told me that due to Ike UT will be granting interviews starting around Dec through Jan. Does anyone know someone who's been accepted in the past? What were their GRE scores and GPA's? What's considered good ICU experience? I work in PICU, and I'm hoping that's considered sufficient.

i have a question, when i apply for the school of nursing, do i only send one application for that? or do i have to apply to the school first then the nursing school?
