Hoping I didn't prolong my chancing of becoming a CRNA!

I have wanted to be a CRNA every since I was in high school (10+ yrs ago) I went off to college when I graduated and got homesick and came home after the first semester. It has taken me 9 years to get back in school. I was very frank with the admissions director about my plans to become a CRNA and how important it was for me to stay on the RN track. At the time it was too late for me to get into the RN program because the class was full but I could do the LPN program instead and while I'm waiting to get back into an RN program I would be able to work and what not. I hoping and praying that I didn't make a mistake. I'm still taking classes that I think will go towards that program (microbiology, etc). Would it be in my best interest to work towards my associate's degree in science & and then go on to get my BSN and continue from there or should I do the LPN to RN, etc?

I wouldn't work as an LPN for very long as it won't contribute as much to your CRNA school application as RN experience. I would focus on getting the RN and into an ICU first and then work (quickly) towards your BSN. It seems the schools want to see a logical path of getting from point A to CRNA school and that your actions demonstrate motivation to meet your goals. So sit down and think about how you're going to get to CRNA school, and stick to your plan. Do your research and make informed decisions based on how much work you have ahead of you... it's a long road! Best of luck.
