Hi everyone! I recently have been accepted into school and wanted to hear of any books you recommend I read before hand. Thanks for your help!

Take a nice vacation and read something for fun. Plenty of time in school to read all of the anesthesia text books.

I read a book called the "Anesthesia Student Survival Guide: A Case-Based Approach", which dumbs things down nicely for someone just wanting to get their feet a little wet before school.

At this point in CRNA school, do I feel like it helped? No. I agree that your time would be better spent relaxing and getting yourself to a mental good place to begin the gauntlet. You're not going to have much time with your loved ones once school starts, so enjoy the time while you've got it.

I was warned before starting school by SRNAs NOT to try to read any books ahead of time, but I get it if you feel like you have to do something, which is why I shared the book above. If you really can't keep yourself from doing something to feel as though you're preparing, please be nice to yourself and pick an easier read rather than jumping into a detailed textbook. Your school is going to teach you everything you need to know.
