Admission Points for Acceptance

Nursing Students SRNA

Does anyone have any information on how all the pieces of the admission process quantifies into admission points?

Ive heard that you get points for every piece of data and then admission is based upon the highest of those.

I imagine something like:

CCRN 10pts

Gpa: 3.0 = 3.0pts

3.1 = 3.1 pts

3.2 = 3.2 pts

etc...

Gre: 1000 = 10 pts

1 yr Icu Experience 10pts

Interview: 1-10 pts

and so on.

Anyone have insight on the points system for admission?

Specializes in ICU, currently in Anesthesia School.

Depends on each school and the criteria for admission. Any specific school?

twu and tcu specifically.

Thanks.

Obviously this is pure speculation. To be fair one would think the gre part would be 1000= 1.0 pts, 1100= 1.1 pts, with your original post if someone got like a 1200 they would have automatic acceptance.

I have always heard that it is the interview that makes or breaks you.

Oh I hope it's the interview!!!;);)

TCU does not use a point system. The application package is viewed with regards to strengths and weakneses. Strength in one area, such as the interview, can offset weaknesses in others.

Well, I know TWU uses a point system because I interviewed last year & missed acceptance because my GRE brought down my points (all I'm going to say is it was
