??Georgia RN but Florida CRNA student??

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Hi, I'm a new member here but have been reading alot of the other posts for some time now. I'm currently a BSN student at Valdosta State University, located on the southern border of Georgia. Theres only 2 CRNA schools in GA, but about 8 schools in FL. Does anyone know if I would have to be state 'registered' in FL to go to a FL CRNA school? Any feedback would be great. Thanks!

Most schools basically require that you become licensed in their state before beginning their program, but you don't need the license prior to applying to their program. Once you have been accepted and know where you'll be going to school, you can begin the process of applying for a nursing license in that state by looking at their state board of nursing website.

I know that all 3 schools in Miami require you to be licensed in Florida. I would guess that every school would require you to be licensed in the state where you are doing clinicals. Check with schools you are interested in to be sure.
