What are Theory / Concepts class?

I just got accepted to an online FNP program! The first semester we have 2 classes:

Theory and Concepts.

What topics do they cover? I would like to get a head start and study anything that would help me since I have 2 babies and have a crazy schedule already!

Theory is usually about nursing theories running from leadership to practice, to health behaviors....there's a theory for everything. Its a pain in the butt class because it is kind of useless unless you like and have a burning need to know all about.....theory. The concepts sounds like more of the same, I can't imagine having to take two classes like that at the same time, you have my sympathy.

As far as getting a leg up, I would say that you would need to wait for the syllabus and textbook to know what you needed to study. If you pm the instructor, they might give you the unofficial info. Good Luck! (I hate theory lol, can you tell?)
