NP job opportunity in MO/STL

Hello, I'm an RN thinking about continuing my education to become a FNP or a PMHNP, I was wondering if anyone in Missouri (particularly around the STL area) can attest to how much job opportunity there is in this area right now? I've seen lots of forums recently about recent grads having a hard time finding NP positions, as well as attaining RN positions as they're now considered "over-qualified". Is the field already saturated? I just moved here and am not looking to move again soon.

My husband lives in Alton, IL and I get job hits all the time in STL. I live in central IL and have been an APN for 10 years but have a great job and not planning on changing anytime soon but there seem to be a lot of jobs available especially if you are willing to get licensed in IL as well.
