Hi all is there any other student on this website accepted into JU's FNP program for this Fall semester?

Congrats on acceptance to JU! How are you enjoying your first semester? I know this is unrelated to your question, but I am applying for Fall 2015. Do you have any insight on the competitiveness of getting in to the FNP program. I am a UF grad with 14 years of experience, my GPA is 3.74. I have good recommendations. I have not taken the GRE. Do you think I should take the GRE? Do you know how many applicants they accept? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

JU only accepts 25 applicants and each year they get about 200 hopeful applicants for their FNP program. I don't think you need the GRE for JU unless your gpa is below a 3.0, however you will need it if you're planning to apply to other schools.

Hello again, HopefulRN3! I am still planning on applying to JU FNP program for the Fall 2015. Would you mind sharing some insight on how the program is going? Are you in the full or part time program? How much time do you spend on campus in class vs. online class? Study time per week? Any first hand insight would be really helpful. Thanks!!

It's going good so far, I can't complain. JU is all on campus no online classes offered. I am currently full time and it is very time consuming and tricky balancing work and school. Your first semester is either gonna break you or prove that you belong in a program like this. Your first semester FT you will be taking patho, pharm and assessment- 3 very difficult classes. Several of my classmates already dropped a couple classes. It takes dedication and sacrifice :)

Hello!

I also interested in possibly applying for the JU FNP/ENP program, to start Fall 2016. How is the program going for you HopefulRN3? Are you taking full or part time, and if you don't mind me asking - are you working during the program?

Spreadnthelove - did you go through with applying to the JU program? If so, how was your experience with the application process?

I appreciate any feedback! Thanks in advance!

Hello Current JU FNP Students,

I am also considering JU's FNP program for Fall 2016. I work fulltime, so I am setting my sights for the part-time schedule. Do you have to go to class all week? Are most of the classes in the morning, or in the afternoon/evening etc.? Lastly, do you feel that you are getting a lot of support from faculty? Any info that can be provided will be greatly appreciated.

:)

Did you get interviewed?? if so, was it difficult?

I applied to the ENP program at JU to start in the Fall 2016. I had an interview about 2 weeks ago. It's a group interview. They just ask you questions that they say have no right or wrong answers. Honestly, I don't recall much of the interview questions as I was very nervous. The questions were not difficult though. I did ask them how many students do they accept. For the FNP/ENP dual program, they only accept 25 students and for just the ENP program (which is for students who already have their FNP and are trying to receive a post certificate) they only accept 15.

I just found out I was accepted into JU's FNP/ENP program for Fall 2016. Is there anyone else about to start the program or already in the program? Is there anything I could do prior to classes starting that would give me a leg up? Thanks!!
