ENP or not?

Is it worth going back to school for Emergency NP program after my FNP? Or it's better to just start working?

I'm interested in working as urgent care NP. Thanks!

I haven't met an ENP yet, but you can do that or just get your ACNP and your combo FNP/ACNP is basically an ENP.

The only thing is ACNP does not cover both Peds and Adults - either Peds or Adults only. That's why I'm inclined towards ENP. Plus I'm not sure if I should just start working and gain experience and learning instead of being in school forever. Any insights would be helpful.

Thank you!

If you just want to work urgent care, then your FNP training should have taught you how to recognize everything you will see. Now you need to learn how to manage it. For urgent care I would guess you may need more procedures type training for lacs, I&D, trepination, ear flushing, etc...Or maybe you don't. Having the ENP training would certainly help you recognize conditions perhaps and then develop an understanding of what will happen to the urgent care patient you send to the ER.
