:w00t:Congratulations....Got accepted a while back, so happy for u.
How did you get accepted a while back? I received my letter about a week or so ago but they told me they don't send anything out until June 1. Just wondering because there was one person who told me they did rolling admissions but Drexel told me they didn't.

Found out I got accepted May 16th 2012...to me that's early (sent my application in early too)....I gues its meant to be!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder if the different NP programs had different time frames. I was told they wouldn't look at any applications unil June 1. I'm doing peds and I know you are doing something else (psych?). I wonder if I was given inaccurate information...though it doesn't really matter because I was accepted. I was really concern that my GPA would hold me up even though it was pretty high. I was told the got over 700 applications so I just figured they woud have a ton of 4.0s to pick from and I screwed up the 4.0.
I had everything in, except my personal essay, very early. I sat on m essay for a while no knowing what I wanted to write. I sent the essay mid May. I found out mid June I was accepted. I called about a week before I found out I was accepted and was told I wouldn't hear anything until July because my applicaton was low on the list because of being turned in close to the deadline. I heard a week later from that phone call.
It's a bit confusing. They told me June 1st was the deadline yet they are admitting students prior to the deadline. I was told they have several hundred applicants and accept 25. I wonder what the real skinny is? I guess it doesn't matter if you get accepted but it does sound a bit misleading. Another NP program accepts until they're full but yet they have a deadline for everything. If you apply early and meet the criteria I guess you get in. I was not accepted and no one will return my call or email to find out why. I am happy to be accepted to Drexel but it doesn't look like I'll be attending. Good luck everyone!
You aren't going to accept the seat? What will you do since you didn't get into the other program?
I was told 20-25 seats per NP track and over 700 applicants this year for all tracks. I was told last year they were expecting an increase in the number of applicants for this current year.

I am applying to another program for PMHNP. I didn't get accepted to OU for their FNP program. What I really want to do is psych so I'm okay with not getting in the other schoo. I would love to attend Drexel but the campus attendance required is too much for my budget. I am sad about it but after careful consideration I think that will be my final decsion. It is very competitive so I hate to let it go.
Just make sure that you aren't giving up a seat for another program that will cost more or have the same issues with attendance. The programs all vary so much in how much time needs to be on campus. I remember I looked into one program but it was states away and the attendance time was CRAZY! I thought they were kidding with the attendance time and still calling it an online program. Best of luck to you!
Thank you for your support. I really like the idea of campus visits....I just can't afford the travel. The school I hope to attend has one campus visit and it's highly rated as well. It will all work out in the end. Thanks again and good luck to you!
