Anyone accepted into USC (southern california) FNP program?

Hi! I got the call I was accepted in to USC's FNP program. I will be starting Fall 2017. Just wanted to reach out to anyone who is currently in the program or got accepted as well :cat:

I have applied. I had a low GPA in nursing school so I'd be shocked if I acutally got in. What were your nursing school stats? What is your background? :)

It was a miracle I got in. I had a non competitive GPA (3.2 ... got a C in a some of my science courses due to my immaturity early on in school). I was able to write an additional statement explaining my grades.

I have to take the bridge course in May and then I start full time Fall 2017. I have about 4 1/2 years of nursing experience and worked closely with an NP last year.

Good of luck to you! When did you turn in your application?

Yesterday...and I still am waiting on a reference. Well my GPA was considerably lower than that...and I am a school nurse. Go figure. I don't even know any NP'.s

Well there's always hope! If you have strong references and a killer essay that's what's going to set you apart. I was racking in my brain what I was going to do if I didn't get in and thought that I would try to take some courses over that I didn't do so well in. So always have that plan B but I do wish you the best! ❤️

How is it going so far DayjRN?

I start in May =) Did you ever hear back??

I got into the program today. I start in January! Anyone else starting in Jan 2017 too???

Yay! Congrats! You'll have to give me some inside tips on how it goes! í ½í±í ¼í¿½í ½í±í ¼í¿½í ½í±í ¼í¿½

Congrats! I got accepted today too. I'm starting the bridge course in January.

Semester starts soon..

Any word/updates on scholarships ?? I applied for two merit based scholarships and for fafsa. I also noticed they're not accredited by CCNE.. Will that affect us when we graduate ? What are your thoughts ???
