Hi All,

I have decided to go back to school for my AC-PNP. Unfortunately, I live in a state that does not have this program, so I am looking at online programs. So far, I know there is Rush, UAB, USA, Vanderbilt, and Creighton. Is there any other online programs that you know of that I can look into and compare? Thanks

Hey! I have not heard anything yet. I feel like I read somewhere that we should know by June 1?? I'm also in the process of applying to the Pediatric program at USA for Spring 2015 just in case doesn't accept me. Let me know if you hear anything! :-)

not required gre is like medical school without requiring mcat

Specializes in Peds; Cardiac, NICU, PACU.

While I agree the mcat is a base for medical school and the knowledge of it, the gre is not based on graduate nursing, but graduate school as a whole.

HAve any of you been accepted into these programs or started? I am looking into online PNP programs and wanting some feedback regarding !

I've started at USA. Let me know if you still have questions

Hi!

I started at last fall in the Dual Acute and Primary PNP, and so far so good. I get into the tract specific courses this upcoming winter. Let me know if you have any more questions.

hi @my3suns,

i applied to the acute/primary care peds program at and can't believe how long I have to wait to find out (applied Nov 30 but they said they dont review applications until may). Can you provide a little info about the program? Thanks :)

They don't do rolling enrollment. They sit and wait and look at everyone and make a decision. I believe I had my acceptance in early June when I went.

Hi SariNicole104,

With waiting for the application, I didn't apply until late April, so the wait didn't seem as long, but I was told mine was accepted in May. As for the program, so far so good. There is a lot to learn, but it is manageable. I'm getting into the core NP classes now so we will see how this goes.

Where you please with the Dual Primary and Acute Care PNP program? Thanks for your input!

Are you using a MacBook? If so have you had any issues? Or do you know of anyone who is using one?
