Hello School Nurses!!

I know there have been some posts about screenings so I apologize for posting one myself. This is my first year doing screenings. When I started the job last year at the end of November, the previous nurse had them done already. The school I work at is very small. I'll have to screen kindergarten to 8th grade. Certain grades receive the vision and hearing and 5th and 7th will also have scoliosis screenings if parental consent is given. All grades receive height, weight and BP screenings. When do you start your screenings?

I'm about to go on maternity leave in two weeks. I know my own children's school does them during the fall. I won't be back till after the holidays. I don't think this is something I want to put onto the substitute. I know that we have to re-screen students who fail a vision or hearing test the first time two weeks after the initial screening. I was thinking of maybe doing it next week and maybe just have the sub do the retesting? I don't know, it's stressing me out though! Thanks for listening!
