CCRI clinical schedules - Days & Evenings/weekends

I'm looking for some help in trying to figure out how my schedule would work if and when I ever get off the wait list for clinincals at CCRI. I've spent the last 2 years waiting to start Days. I currently work full time and have a 2 year old in daycare (this is a mid-life career change for me). I'm trying to figure out what time and days the clinincals are held to work out scenarios for part time employment and childcare.

Could anyone respond with examples of their schedules at any of the campuses? I'd also be interested in hearing examples for the nights/weekends program schedule if I am forced to jump lists for financial reasons. Yes, I realize I'd start at the bottom of the nights list but I'd rather keep waiting than not be able to pay my mortgage!

Thanks!

hi there, good luck to you the waiting list is long. do you work as a cna? ccri likes that is something that they usually like. there is no set schedule. it varies according to the campus and what they have available. there isnt any picking or choosing when it comes to what you get.

Hi,

The clinical times and days vary...but usually you would be able to switch with someone if both parties are in agreement...Or you may request days/night clinicals once you are definately in the program..I'm sure you can do something once in. Good Luck

MaxO,

I was in the night/weekend program at CCRI. We had clinicals every other Sat & Sun (7-3) and every Monday night (3-11) and we had lecture Tues & Thurs 6-9. I chose the evening/weekend program because I needed to work during the day. I ended up working part time while I was in school because the program is so intense - all of my free time was spent studying and I hardly spent any quality time with my family. Some of my classmates worked full time while in school and I give them so much credit because I don't know how they did it!! We have CCRI day students on the floor that I work on - they are there Thurs and Fri 7-3 and I'm not sure what their lecture schedule is. Whatever you decide, good luck, it will be worth it in the end!!
