To be RN again ,where will be the starting point

Nurses Retired

Published

Hi, I'm a Philippine RN presently living in Japan with my family for almost 10 yrs. I'm working here as a manufacturing supervisor , but now I decided to continue my profession as nurse but very confuse because I don't even know where to start. After passing the local board my parents lost their job which caused the family finacially unstable.Being the eldest ,I decided to look for a job to support my family but hospitals prioritized those who undergone a training program which we must pay for it which is hard for me on that time. Even the registration fee for my license came from a two weeks part time job in a restaurant.I really don't know what to do then, until it came an offer to work in Japan, you know ...an entertainer but now we call it OPA (Overseas Performing Artist ) I did the Classic Ballet workout,Jazz and after that a written and practical exam.Perform a variety dance in front of a famous artist as judges, pass & got my ARB license. But all of this is on the expense of the agency. No expenses on my side was temptating, I'd bite the bullet for my family. Now, I'm working here as a supervisor, holding a permanent visa, supporting my family in the Philippines, Although not working as a nurse, I'm still updating myself for news regarding nursing care, medical instruments, reading journals, performs volunteer activities in nursing homes, and BLS course too. At this age of 35 I'm more eager to study and learn again. Need some advise for what to do in process.I hope Its not be late for me.
