cortisone injections safe? :eek: my orthopedic surgeon suggested a cortisone injection in my rotator cuff for 2 partial tears that showed up on the mri. this was effective in alleviating most of the arm at side pain, but still have pain when i use the arm. now it's 2 months later and he is suggesting another cortisone injection. i was told by another dr. that cortisone softens the bones and she didn't like it being used. what do you think? should i have another one? surgery may be the next step. i am taking ibuprofen 600mg. up to 3 times a day which has helped so i can sleep better. i'm going to the dr. tomorrow am so any help would be appreciated asap
