RN-BSN and ADN-BSN Easy?

Nursing Students ADN/BSN

I have a question for any Nurse that has worked their way through an ADN-BSN or RN-BSN program or any Nurse currently doing so. Do you believe the program is easy because you have obtained so much nursing knowledge and experience? If not, why?

Specializes in ER.

One thing to keep in mind is that you are already a nurse. You are already an RN. So you should have already completed a lot of the classes that a traditional BSN completes. I felt like my ADN program was well prepared because I repeated some classes in the BSN program. There was more theory but I already had a great grasp of how to research so researching wasn't that big of a deal.

I had 9 classes to complete excluding fluff classes that I had planned ahead because OU had partnered with my CC school so I had a list of what would transfer and which categories I could fulfill with that class.

As for APA papers, there's a program called PERRLA which helps out. I barely bat an eye at papers because of it. It was like 60 bucks for lifetime for 3 computers so it covers my laptops and my desktop. The APA would have been a killer if I had not purchased the program. My one coworker who ended up in the same program as me but I didn't know it till the end commented he wished he had known about the program before the last class. He said it made it so much easier. I think he used the trial version.
