Good news for at least one of you on the waitlist....I was accepted to my number one choice, so I will be giving up my spot at GWU. That will open up one spot! I'm sure others may change their minds along the way too, so those of you still waiting - don't lose hope!! Best of luck to you all.

Hi everyone! For all of those who were admitted to the program and are in the Cohort 6 blackboard group, have you been able to find the roommate discussion board? It says the discussion link should be under the BSN Student Community but I can't find it. I just wanted to ask before I called the school to make sure I'm not going crazy ;)

Also, has anyone started a FB group for our class? Or would anyone be interested in me starting one? Let me know-

Good luck to everyone on the waiting list still waiting to hear!

Hi Ames808,

I called today and asked about the "Discussions" tab because I couldn't see it either. Apparently it's a problem with Blackboard and they're trying to get it fixed.

Hey, I was looking on blackboard as well for the discussion forum but didn't see it. I'm glad I checked this forum first, because I was about to contact the school. I am thinking about perhaps getting a roommate through the discussion board, but I am not sure yet. I am also interested in joining the FB group, if created.

Ames808 you should definitely start a FB group for our class that'd be great so we can all meet each other! Let me know if you do!!

Hi Brielle,

I got into Marymount and GWU for the Fall 14 and I would really to pick your brain on the pros and cons of both. I have been feverishly doing my research-but nothing beats talking to students like you, especially ones who had the make the same decision I have to make. If you have a moment can you give me a call? I would love to chat or take you out for coffee at a date, location and time of your convenience. I am not gonna lie I am a bit anxious about making the right decision. My main concern w GWU is having professors who teach to the test and don't just say know everything and who really care about helping their students succeed. The ability to get text and syllabi access somehwt early to get a jumpstart on work as well as starting some NCLEX prep beforehand. And of course having to move or live closer as I live in Arlington as well as being able to manage the workload and heavy courseload and do well. The fail rate and of course NCLEX pass rate is my utmost concern. I want to go to a school where I can manage the work, and not feel overwhelemed even though I am working hard- so how ot manage time when you go to class 9-5 and probably want to nap before you do work again is also a concern. If there are days of no class in between that seems manageable. When tests and finals are schedule is also another concern. I do not want more than 1 test onthe same day if possible.

Anyway as you see I have a few questions and I would really appreciate your help. Please call me at 201 560 6454 anytime, day or nite, if at all possible. I would be eternally grateful to learn from the wisdom of your experiences.

Thank you very much for your time, help and consideration.

Warm regards,

Lauren Montalvo
