Is an ADN or accelerated BSN program the best for me?

Nursing Students ADN/BSN

Published

I have been asking about nursing a few different ways on here and I'm learning more each time. I have a more detailed question now. I eventually want to be a physician assistant and because the programs are competitive, I want good medical experience before I apply for a program. I already have a BS pre-med so I am wondering if an accelerated BSN program for people who already have degrees or an ADN program would be better. Since I will eventually become a PA, I won't be in nursing for a very long time as long as things go as planned. So frankly, which program would be easier and quicker and does anyone have any suggestions for schools in Northern/Central California? Also, is there such a thing as an accelerated ADN program? Thanks, I appreciate your adivice.

Hi,

First post so I will try to make it a good one, If you have a pre-med BS then you really don't have to go the nursing route you can apply for PA school now since most of the pre reqs are the same I also want to become a PA but I am going ADN (now) BSN (online) then I can apply but I live in CO where there are only two PA schools highly competitive and one requires patient contact so i have to go this way so I can appy to both, in california the Programs I found were the following and you can go to the following website to check out other states I hope this Helps ;) Gimmie

Why don't you just get a CNA course in a hospital work there while you get in the PA program
