Question about other student actions on psych unit

To be brief, my friend and I are in our psych rotation - second to last before graduation. We are grouped with eight other girls who are so immature. We tried to be very accepting and open minded about what we perceived to be very unprofessional actions by some of these other students, but it is so difficult sometimes.

Tell me your thoughts and what you would have done in the following instances:

1 - Student A (my friend) was on the child/adolescent unit interviewing a female who was admitted with serious sexual issues. Immature Girl 1 (one of the other students) proceeded to sit down at the same table as my friend and openly flirt with one of the techs from the unit. The charge nurse came over and asked Immature Girl and the tech to relocate because it was unfair to the client to have a 3:1 interaction (even though the other student wasn't directly interacting with the client.) After the charge nurse left, the tech and Immature Girl both rolled their eyes and complained out loud about how mean the charge was.

2 - Student B (myself) was on an adult unit with a variety of diagnoses. Immature Girl 2 (another student) was interacting with a group of clients by playing games with them. I was discussing something relevant to our current studies with the wonderfully helpful tech. Immature Girl 2 yelled across the day room to invite me to play with them. I declined and she responded by yelling back, "Don't be antisocial *****. Antisocial *****!!!" One of the group she was playing with immediately flipped around and asked, "You're antisocal?" This client had some familiarity with the diagnosis and seemed to be amazed that someone with antisocial personality disorder could be a nursing student.

In both instances, my friend and I were livid. Both situations exhibited an extreme lack of professionalism, not to mention the potential for harm. What would you do in these situations???

What I'd do in each situation:

Situation #1: Tell the other student privately that I felt that behavior was unprofessional since that patient has sexual issues in particular and would appreciate it if they didn't interfere with my client interactions in the future. Get over it, move on. I would not come back to it weeks later. People are like puppies, we need to deal with problems right away or let them go.

Situation #2: Tell the patient I'm not anti-social and explain the student was using a figure of speech. Tell that student later I didn't appreciate her behavior and ask her to refrain from such comments in the future. Get over it, move on. Count down the days till graduation.

I am so glad I'm not a student anymore:)

Thanks for all the responses thus far. I can't believe these people actually passed this rotation. (I have to admit, I liked the last suggestion best )
