TEAS exam length?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

hi all,

what is the length of the teas exam and can you leave early if you finish early? i have a nursing baby who refuses the bottle so i am hoping i am not required to stay the full length if i finish early.

thanks for the expertise!

I attend Ivy Tech in South Bend. They say to figure 3 or 4 hours for the test. I think I took it in about 2.5 hours, maybe 3. I was the second person out of there out of maybe 30 students. Yes, they let you leave when you have finished it.

Hope this helps.

Does each of the four sections have it's own amount of time? There are 170 questions and each subject area has anywhere from 30 to 55 questions. So if you want you can spend 2 hours on Math and do the other 3 sections in an hour or each section has a time limit?

Also if you take it electronically is it dynamic like the NCLEX where the better you do the harder the questions and fewer in the end. Or do all TEAS tests have 170 questions?

Thank you in advance.

I believe all versions of the test have 170 questions. The first time I finished the test in about an hour and a half. The second time, about 2 hours. I take tests really fast though, and I had the same test both times.

Lennonninja was your test electronic or paper?

I know mine will be electronic which I have never done before. I am hoping you can go back once you have gone through the questions once.
