Starting Nursing School in Two Weeks! Any advice?

Hello! These are typical questions that are often in the student section on here but I figured I'd add my own post into the mix. I am starting my nursing journey at LSSC in two weeks. I have my textbooks, uniforms, stethoscope, planner and all other essentials. I started getting everything together as soon as I received my acceptance letter :) My thing is that sometimes I can be anxiety ridden, and I think my nerves have already started lol. I'm so confident but yet, I doubt myself a lot. I am Nervous to the point of thinking about what I should do if I fail the program entirely. (Which is a horrible thought before even entering the program!) I've already started to read the first few chapters of my Foundations book, and practicing math because I learned that we have math quizzes every week. I also have been looking through my old A&P stuff.

My questions are: how do you guys relax after a hard day at class, clinicals or work? How do you deal with your nerves? How did you mentally prepare yourself for the Nursing Program?

I understand that nothing can truly prepare me for the road I'm about to start, but I just want some insight of those who are already going through it.

On step at a time. Concentrate on each class you are enrolled. Find a small group of people who are serious enough to form a study group More the 4 creates a party group... so keep it 2-4 people.

Yea I agree ^^ just take it one course at a time. I personally don't really stress over my courses. They are challenging, but definitely doable. I think it all comes down to time management. Once I plan out my week in the planner, I am able to see where I can put in study time, time for my careplans (they are so annoying) and I also work, so that has to be factored in as well. But yea, the math is a good start to practice. I wouldn't focus too much of A&P since you should pretty much know it. The first pages of each chapter will all have a little A&P review section so you can focus on that when the time comes.
