Sociology Help...

I am writing a "sociology analysis"... if you will.

I chose my topic as Wall-E and the obesity message. My teacher commented back on my rough draft saying I need to have a more narrow topic. I'm not sure how much more specific I can get. I tried to narrow in on childhood obesity, but that doesn't seem satisfying.

We have to compare it to a mass media article, I chose a rather broad one on like children being sedentary.. school lunches on the downhill... etc.

Have you ever done this before?

Any pointers on how to write this kind of thing?

I am too programed in literature..

not sure if this is of any help but maybe you could say childhood obesity in north america or chilhood obesity in a speific town/ area etc.

then again what do you want to study about child hood obesity, maybe you need to be specific where that is concerned., i dunno but hope that helps

I agree with the above poster. If you use childhood obesity you need to narrow it down to a particular area. Childhood obesity and its causes vary from one geographical area to another, even within the united states. Cross culture studies have shown that differing cultures play very different parts in this.

Im in Sociology also. . i remember my teacher talking about obesity more common among lower class - i would think that would be more narrow topic - taking demographics into account - good luck!
