Should I do the ADN or wait and do the BSN

I'm currently doing my prerequisites as a freshmen at a local community college. I have two options in my head right now; next year for my sophomore year enroll in my current community college's adn program or transfer out and go to a four year as undecided to get admitted there and still do the prerequisites and then do a intercollege transfer to the bsn program my junior year and finish in 2.5 years. To be honest why I'm stuck on this is because if I do the adn route it will take longer I feel like since in order to get into the program you have to finish the prerequisites (the ones I'm doing now) than as the bsn program I can take prerequisites for this year and next year and transfer to the program. I really don't know what to do. What do you guys feel is right??? I just don't wanna be in college for 5 years getting my bsn but if it comes to that I'm all for it.

5 years in college is nothing to stress about, it's really common! :)

Have you looked at the costs? Presumably the 4 year school will be more expensive. This is a big "con" for some people but not for others.

One good thing about the ADN is that you could get your ADN, get a job, and do a bridge to BSN program (which takes about a year)>

If I were you I'd ask myself:

What is the job market for ADNs where I live?

How important is cost/loans/etc to me? How will it impact my life?

What are the NCLEX pass rates for the nursing schools I'm looking at?

What are the entrance requirements for the schools I'm looking at?
