Seriously on the verge of going crazy..

Hey y'all!

So, a couple months ago I posted about having trouble in my A&P II class because my professor is terrible, etc, etc. Well after I posted about failing a test, my next test went very well. I made a 92....We just took a test a couple days ago. Grades were posted today and I made a 50?!? Like .. I'm just really on the verge of giving up with this class and possibly withdrawing. I was starting to settle for a B, but after that test grade, the highest grade feasible is a C. I already have a C on my transcript and really don't want another one. I spoke with another classmate and we made similar grades- I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the class did as well. This professor is so ......... Well, I don't know how to put it nicely.

I studied a lot, listened to lectures over and over, read the book, and still failed. I actually walked out feeling very confident after taking the test and I honestly don't know what to think. I understand all of the material and everything, so that's really why I'm so confused. I have set up an appointment with my professor because I feel like he has made a mistake somewhere. There is no way possible that I made that low on a test. Since I've been in college I've never failed a test that bad.

Worst case scenario is that I actually did do that bad on the test :( I don't know what happened. Would you guys withdraw and retake the class this summer, finish the class out with the C & retake this summer, or just keep the C? GPA wise, this C would drop my GPA from a 3.8 to a 3.74, which isn't too bad, but I feel like a C just looks bad on a transcript, especially for a class like A&P. Any advice?

SN: I've already been accepted into a BSN program starting in the fall, so based off that, what would you do?

Was your corrected test grade much better? :)

Yep, 84 :) I'll take that.

Glad your test went better than you thought! I agree with PPs, if you have already been accepted I wouldn't worry too much. Some will revoke for a bad grade but I don't think they'd do it over a C. Try the best you can to bump it up but I don't think a C will be the end of the world. It sounds like you'll be fine and probably get that B anyway.

Sometimes profs do strange things too. Mine says that he doesn't do extra credit or curving, yet there's extra points tacked on at the end that make pretty much everyone's grades a letter grade or so higher. I've had similar in other courses- one I was mad that I worked my butt off and got a C while someone else failed all there tests but did seem to be trying so she got a C as well. So he pretty much doesn't let people fail as long as they show up.

Also in my school they know my A&P instructor is difficult and it's a class that's not really designed for freshman AP students so they don't really care if people get Cs in that class if their other courses are good. I don't go to the most competitive school though.
