Question about A and P 2???

I just started A and P 2 for the spring semester the end of January. I loved A and P 1, we learned so many useful things medical terminology, blood pressure, bones, the heart, etc. My teacher made it very interesting, she said she taught what we would need to know in the healthcare field (I am taking the prereq's for the ADN program @ my community college). What a change!!! A and P 2 is a completely different ballgame! We just finished the digestive system and now we have moved onto metbolism, and I feel like I am taking chemistry!! Granted, I have a different teacher, but I thought A and P 2 was just a continuation of A and P 1. We are learning chemical compounds, proton pumps, electron transport, etc. I wanted to know if anyone else felt this way making the transition from A and P 1 to A and P 2?? Or is just my crazy teacher??? Please help! Give me some hope to get through this semester!! :chair:

Hello CN,

Phew, okay breath in! :) You are going to be fine I am sure, especially if you did so well in A&P I.

Remember how that class was so systematic? Systems and logical paths to follow how they worked? Well, A&P may not be so different from what you liked in the first class.

Maybe it would help if you considered all of these other processes as the smaller systems that they are.

It has been just five years now since my A&P but I think I remember the feeling that you are having.

This is why I remember needing to consider these systems as -systems- composed of smaller systems.

You understood the systems in A&P I, you might need to break it all down again, step by step to get a smaller view of these until you look at them complete.

p.s. I hope this helps and if it doesn't, don't fret, maybe my learning style isn't worth it for you, maybe the next advice will be the ticket
