Please evaluate my GPA and TEAS. Where to apply?

I expected to be going to CSUSM but I don't have enough points

Can someone guide me on where to apply?

I will apply almost anywhere at this point, the only problem is I dont know where.

My GPA is 3.85.

My GPA for science is 3.9 or 3.75 depending on next semester

I took the TEAS for the first time and scored a 73.3

I wish someone would just tell me where to apply and I would know if I got accepted or not

Why don't you research and find out where would suit you best? It's not advisable to ask strangers where to apply. We can see numbers but don't know anything about you as a person :) Are you in high school? If so, have you spoken to your school counselor?

You need the help of someone who knows what the scores mean, and how to apply them. A 3.8 GPA is wonderful! Congrats and keep up the good work! I am not entirely sure on what scale the TEAS is measured. Sometimes, the TEAS also has individual grades for individual subjects. Take your, say, 2 lowest grades and (assuming you are in high school) take those 2 courses for the next semester. See if you have virtual high school at your disposal. Maybe even AP level, and go from there. Retake the TEAS and see what happens to your scores in those catagories. Sometimes, you need to have certain individual scores at a certain level before you can be accepted into a program.

In the meanwhile, research with your guidance counselor a school that would fit both your GPA and your TEAS score. Seek out help in your essays, your applications, and get your recommendation letters now.

Research all of your options.

Guidance departments are wonderful things!! Another thought process is to look online at your local large hospitals. See who the nurse educator is for the facility. Make an appointment to speak with them about what they would recommend as your course of action.

If you are out of high school, you could go to your alma mater and ask to speak with guidance for direction. Or make an appointment with an academic advisor at one of your local colleges.

In the meanwhile, see if it is feasible to take a CNA, EMT or some other shorter term course that could get you working. There are also any number of "big box" stores that offer tuition reimbursement.

YES, it absolutely stinks when one goes for early decision (or applies out of school if applicable) and the college that you have your heart set on says no. Sucks out loud. But now is the time for plan B.

A 3.8 is absolutely nothing to scoff at!! What an accomplishment you should be really proud of!! Going forward, reset your sights, and start applying after you receive some direction.
