Kishwaukee College

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Howdy! I have been following these forums for a while, while doing my pre reqs, but this is my first post. I was wondering if anyone had gone to Kishwaukee College in Malta, IL? I know they accept 40 in the fall and 40 in the spring, but do you know how many applicants they get? I have searched but I can't find any info on that. I have a 3.8 science gpa, a previous BA with a 3.0 gpa, and a master's degree in art that proved to be worthless lol but I had a 3.9 gpa. I know I could do an ABSN since I have a BA already, but I cannot afford any of the programs in the area, and am tied down due to my partners work. I am taking the teas in 2 weeks, and have been studying my butt off so I hope to do very well on that. Anyway, rambling, but if anyone has gone there and has any advice or words of encouragement I would appreciate it!

I am from around that area, and I have heard that they get many applicants. However, I do not know their "criteria" as far as getting into the school. But it would be easy for you to do your RN-BSN at NIU after you graduate Kish :)

Thanks for responding! I really hope I can get in. That is my plan! To hopefully do the RN-BSN at NIU!

I got the call today that I am in! Not sure if anyone is following this thread, but if you get in to let me know!

congrats!!! That's really awesome :)
